Buying and Recycling the Common Ink Cartridge

It would actually amaze most people to learn that the expensive ink cartridge they recently purchased actually only contains roughly a fifth of an ounce of printer ink. This is certainly not to say that printers do not get their money’s worth from an ink cartridge, since they certainly do. On the other hand, this makes printer ink by far one of the most expensive things (by volume, of course) that most people will ever buy. If your car, for example, cost as much as printer ink, it would quite literally be worth untold millions of dollars. Unfortunately for all of us, our vehicles are most likely not worth millions of dollars.

On the other hand, there are ways around this prohibitively expensive cost. One such way is to shop online for your printer needs. A great idea is to consider purchasing remanufactured printer cartridges. First, these cartridges can be up to fifty percent less expensive than name brand alternatives. Unfortunately, there is a stigma against buying recycled or remanufactured goods. Luckily for consumers, though, these printer products go through increasingly strenuous inspection processes that ensure that they perform equally well or even in many cases better than the equivalent name brand original products. Therefore, there is no reason to worry that you will receive anything that is not top notch.

Finally, by participating in recycling programs and purchasing remanufactured printer products, you are ensuring that the environment is taken care of and you are doing your part to reduce waste while supporting eco friendly businesses. In the printer business, anything that saves money is news to consumers’ ears and it is very hard to find other fields that will reward you so much simply my making the environmentally sound purchase. When the only down side is having a fatter wallet, there really is no reason not to.
